S. 2868—Immigration and Nationality Act, Amendments

On April 16, 2008, Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) introduced S. 2868, Immigration and Nationality Act, Amendments, which would replace the current visa lottery system that is based on nationality and minimum work/educational degree requirements and establish a new lottery program that prioritizes visas to applicants with an advance degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. S. 2868 was referred to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
