H. R. 6549 —Federal Firefighter Overtime Pay Prohibition

On July 17, 2008, Representative John Sarbanes (D-MD) introduced H.R. 6549, (no title), which would amend title 5 of the U.S.C. to prohibit overtime pay to Federal firefighters who agree to switch hours with one another under a "qualified trade-of-time arrangement." The bill was referred to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
