Human Growth Hormone, Steroids, and Vitamin B12 Hearing

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform (Representative Henry Waxman [D-CA], Chairman) held a hearing entitled AMyths and Facts About Human Growth Hormone, B-12, and Other Substances.@ The hearing was held as a prelude to a February 13 hearing regarding the use of certain substances by major league baseball players. Dr. Susan Shurin, Deputy Director, NHLBI, testified about the science surrounding the use of vitamin B-12.
