Biorepositories

The House Science Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight (Representative Brad Miller [D-NC], Chairman) held a hearing entitled “Biobanking: How the Lack of a Coherent Policy Allowed the Veterans Administration to Destroy an Irreplaceable Collection of Legionella Samples.”  Dr. Jim Vaught, Deputy Director, Office of Biorepositories and Biospecimen Research, NCI, testified about NCIs work in developing best practices for the extramural community regarding the use of biospecimen resources.
