The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health (Representative Frank Pallone [D-NJ], Chairman) held a hearing entitled “Treatments for an Ailing Economy: Protecting Health Care Coverage and Investing in Biomedical Research.” Dr. Raynard Kington, Acting Director, NIH, testified.  Other witnesses included the Honorable Janet Napolitano, Governor, State of Arizona on Panel 1; and Ronald Pollack, Families USA; Rachel King, GlycoMimetics, Inc.; and Joachim Kohn, Ph.D., Rutgers, on Panel 2 with Dr. Kington.
