Biosafety Hearing

The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations (Representative Bart Stupak [D-MI], Chairman) held a hearing entitled “Germs, Viruses, and Secrets: The Silent Proliferation of Bio-Laboratories in the United States.” Dr. Hugh Auchincloss, Deputy Director, NIAID, presented testimony. Drs. Richard Besser, Casey Chosewood, and Robbin Weyant, CDC, and Drs. Keith Rhodes and Sushil Sharma, Government Accountability Office, also testified.
