Representative Greenwood Holds Hearing on SARS

On May 7, 2003, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations (Representative James Greenwood [R-PA], Chairman) held a hearing on severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). Mr. Jerome Hauer, Acting Assistant Secretary for Public Health Emergency Preparedness, DHHS; Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH; Dr. Julie Gerberding, Director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention; and Murray Lumpkin, Principal Associate Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration, testified.
