Senate HELP Committee Hosts Roundtable on Nanotechnology

The Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (Senator Judd Gregg [R-NH], Chairman) hosted an informal roundtable on nanotechnology and the future of medicine. The purpose of the roundtable was to provide an opportunity for those involved in nano-research to educate the Members on the subject and its potential to revolutionize health care delivery, as well as some of the practical, ethical, legal, and funding challenges facing those involved in such research. Dr. Jeff Schloss, NHGRI, was a panelist and presented the NIH activities related to nanotechnology.
