House Appropriations Subcommittee Holds Hearing on Bioterrorism

On April 9, 2003, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, and Education (Representative Ralph Regula [R-OH], Chairman) held a hearing on bioterrorism with Jerome Hauer, Assistant Secretary for Public Health Emergency Preparedness as the witness. He was accompanied by Dr. Julie Gerberding, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Dr. Betty James Duke, Administrator, Health Resources and Services Administration; Dr. Elias Zerhouni, Director of the National Institutes of Health; and Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute on Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
