House Government Reform Subcommittee on Human Rights and Wellness Holds Hearing on Autism Research

On November 20, 2003, the House Government Reform Subcommittee on Human Rights and Wellness (Representative Dan Burton [R-IN], Chairman) held another in a series of hearings on autism entitled, “The Future Challenges of Autism: A Survey on the Ongoing Initiatives in the Federal Government to Address the Epidemic.” Dr. Ann Wagner, Chief, Autism and Pervasive Development Disorders Intervention Research Program, NIMH, provided a written statement for the record addressing NIH research activities. Dr. Peter van Dyck, Associate Administrator, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, HRSA, testified.
